Dişotugiller familyasındandır. Koyu yeşil renkli, çok yıllık otsu bir bitkidir. Boyu 30 – 10 santimetre arasındadır. Yaprakları serttir ve dalgalıdır. Çakıllı, çorak arazide yetişir. Çiçekleri salkım biçimindedir.
