Prematüre yani erken doğan bebeklerde, anne karnında geçirdiği süre 30 – 33 haftadan az olan bebekler için sık ve 34 haftayı aşmış bebekler içinse daha az rastlanan sorunlardan biri de Nekrotizan enterokolit (NEC)’dir. Peki Nekrotizan Enterokolit nedir?

Kalın bağırsak dokularının tepkisidir. Genellikle beslenme başlayana dek ortaya çıkmaz ve şiddetine bağlı olarak çoğunlukla beslenmenin kesilmesi ve midede biriken sıvıların bir sonda vasıtasıyla dışarı boşaltılması, antibiyotikler, serumlarla tedavi edilir ve bazen de cerrahi müdahale gerektirebilir.
